I wonder why most members here aren't interest in Guessing and Classifying people compared to those in Anthroscape and Apricity.

Do you also notice this? I wonder why

@Qamzardaan I think it is mostly because not a lot of people delve too much into classifications in Asia. They mostly care only about a few specific markers: If you are tall or short, fair skinned or dark skinned, then eye and nose variations (rarely). They don't care about the rest from my observation. Asians also tend to amplify characteristics and do not want to think about in betweens. It is either you are this or that and anything in between is usually overlooked.

Like my mom always gets mistaken as Chinese by Chinese people because they assume everyone fair skinned and is east-asian is from North-east Asia. When they ask if she is Chinese and she says no, their second guess is if she is Korean. One comment from a Chinese person cutting my mom's hair was"You are Filipino? But you are so fair?!" They do not even try to see if her facial features are more South-east asian, I think they are.

Lack of member population, and also no Taxonomy/Personal-Taxonomy category.

Lol also I guess white people are more interested in classifications/taxonomy in general.

I created a couple threads on Anthroscape that got a lot of responses. I still find that forum interesting.

Like this one I asked about longevity diet:

    http://s1.zetaboards.com/anthroscape/topic/8092118/1/

    And this one about Jesus:

    http://s1.zetaboards.com/anthroscape/topic/8095264/1/

And this one about IQ scores:

From what I observed Anthroscape is all about off-Whites (Serbs, Armenians and such) who feel rejected on theapricity which is all about actual Germanics and Nords.

Definitely. Before I become active, I noticed there used to be quite much much more members here. Why do most of them left?

Yeah this site doesn't seem to give much importance to taxonomy as in Anthroscape and Apricity.

Not only Whites, but also North Indians and MENAs seem to be more interest in Taxonomy on average than East and Southeast Asians.

Would that explained why there are a lot of MENAs in Anthroscape due to them being Off-White?

I wonder why Anthroscape and Apricity is so Caucasoid-centric.

Yeah they have a lot of pop-up ads. You need to have an adblock which block these malware sites.

    Usually Apricity is safe though.

I generally enjoy TA and I usually tend to discuss general topics. It's hard to discuss an Asian-related topic with non-Asian posters simply because they aren't familiar with the Asian culture.

I also wonder what happens to the veteran posters who left here few years ago. Damn, I want to join here a few years ago.

I get my fill of Asian topics from Asian-focused Facebook groups. There are a lot of cultural experts on there.

TA is actually fine if you discussed other topics. Or if you like to troll and get thumbs down.

Me too. I regret the fact that I become active here much later despite joining in very late 2014. Had I join and become active earlier, I would probably get to interact with much more members.

I'm trying to test European and MENA posters if they would classify me on Personal Taxomony. No responses so far.
